Discover Madrid at your own pace with our 48-hour Essential Ticket. Our hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tours give you the freedom to explore Madrid your way. You can hop on and off the bus at any designated stop, as many times as you wish. Stops are conveniently located near Madrid's best landmarks including the Royal Palace, Temple of Debod and Plaza Neptuno. You can also enjoy the pre-recorded commentary in multiple languages, while you take in the sights around the city from the top deck.

Accessing your ticket: Once you've purchased your ticket, open the Big Bus Tours app, tap 'Add Booking' and enter your booking reference. On the day, open your bus ticket and press 'Activate'. Your ticket countdown starts – just show your activated ticket to the driver to board.

Hop-on, Hop-off

Our hop-on, hop-off bus tours make it easy to explore Madrid on your own terms. Take in the city’s top sights for as little or as long as you like. Hop off whenever you want within your ticket’s validity period, then hop back on when you're ready to continue. If you purchase a ticket that offers validity for more than one day, you must travel on consecutive days.

Can I bring my luggage on the bus?

No, luggage is not permitted on board the bus.

Are discounts available for specific age groups?

Yes, discounted tickets are available for guests aged 65+, and children aged 5–15. Children under 4 may travel free of charge but must sit on their caregiver's lap when the service is full. Please see our Tickets & Passes page for more details on ticket prices.

Can I smoke or vape on the bus?

No, smoking or vaping of any substance is not permitted on the bus.

What happens if I miss the bus?

For our Madrid bus tour, you can simply hop on the next bus that arrives at the stop.

For our out-of-town day trips, please go to Stop #1 (Fuente Neptuno) and speak to a Big Bus Tours staff member.

Can I bring a pet on board the bus?

Only service animals are allowed on board. We do not permit other pets on our buses to ensure the comfort and safety of all our passengers.

Can I eat and drink on the bus?

No, eating and drinking is not permitted on the bus.
