Do I need to choose a date for my tour?

Yes – when you book, you will need to select the date you’d like to hop on the bus. If you’re touring with us for more than one day, your ticket must be used across consecutive days, and the date you select at time of booking should be the first day of your tour. Some tours also require you to select a time of travel, to secure your seat. If your ticket has extra inclusions, you may also need to book dates and times for these inclusions after your purchase is complete via our Booking Portal. Yes, Big Bus Tours Madrid operates every day of the year, apart from the 25th of December. Occasionally local events might affect our service due to road closures. For up-to-date information, please visit our service information page.

How long does the tour take?

Our tour duration is approximately 90 minutes. Please note that our tour duration may be affected by traffic or road closures on some occasions.

How do I redeem my ticket?

For our Madrid bus tour, please go to any stop and present your booking confirmation (either printed or on your device) to one of our staff members. They will present you with a ticket receipt which can be used to board the bus.

For our out-of-town day trips, please go to Stop #1 (Fuente Neptuno) at least 15 minutes in advance of the advertised departure time. Is there a discount available for groups?

Yes, discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. To find out more, submit an enquiry using our group booking information page.

Are child tickets available?

Yes. Child tickets are available for children between the ages of 5–15. Children under 4 may travel free of charge but must sit on their caregiver's lap when the service is full. Buggies and pushchairs must be stowed on the lower deck. All children under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Are the buses wheelchair accessible?

No, our bus tour is not wheelchair accessible.

I bought a ticket for someone else, but it has my name on it, is this ok?

Yes. The person taking the tour will need to present the booking confirmation (printed or on a device) to a uniformed staff member before hopping on the bus. Staff will scan the QR code and present the guest with a ticket that can be used to board the tour. Tickets must be retained for hopping on the bus - please note that tickets cannot be replaced if lost.

Can I eat and drink on the bus?

No, eating and drinking is not permitted on the bus.

Can I bring a pet on board the bus?

Yes, pets are permitted on board the bus as long as they do not occupy a seat to the exclusion of other guests. Pets must be kept on a leash or in a basket, and muzzled where necessary.

Can I bring my luggage on the bus?

No, luggage is not permitted on board the bus.

Can I smoke or vape on the bus?

No, smoking or vaping of any substance is not permitted on the bus.

Are discounts available for specific age groups?
