Discover Toledo and its rich history on our half-day Toledo Express tour. This 6-hour tour departs Madrid and journeys to the town of Toledo, where our guide will take you to see famous landmarks like Toledo Cathedral, Zocodover Square and the Viewpoint of the Valle. You'll also have free time to explore Toledo's cobbled streets and medieval squares independently, discovering local boutiques, cafes and restaurants at your leisure. An artisanal sword-making workshop is included in your tour, and you also have the option to take a guided tour of Santo Tome Church during your free time.

We offer 2 departures every day from Big Bus Tours Stop #1 (Fuente Neptuno).
Option #1: Departs at 9:00am, returns to Madrid at 3:00pm.
Option #2: Departs at 12:00pm, returns to Madrid at 6:00pm.
Please arrive at Stop #1 at least 15 minutes before your chosen departure time.

Artisanal Sword-Making Workshop
Discover ancient craftsmanship in Toledo
The tour includes an immersive visit to an artisanal workshop in Toledo that specialises in the ancient craft of Damascus steel sword making, preserved since medieval times. During this 40-minute workshop you'll see swordsmiths at work with the coal forge and hammer, and admire the artisinal skills of inlay and engraving. Swords and other souvenirs are available to purchase.
Visit Santo Tomé of Toledo
Optional visit to a famous church.
A guided tour of Santo Tomé Church in Toledo is available as an optional add-on to this ticket. The tour offers a glimpse into the rich history and artistic splendor of Santo Tomé. Visitors can marvel at the famous El Greco painting, 'The Burial of the Count of Orgaz,' while learning about the church's medieval origins and Gothic-Mudéjar architectural features from knowledgeable guides. The optional Santo Tomé visit is available to add on at a cost of €9.00 each. Please select your option in the date selection calendar at check-out.
Important Information
Toledo Express Tours Need-to-Know.
On the day of your tour, please show your booking confirmation (printed OR on your mobile device) to Big Bus Tours staff at Stop #1 (Fuente Neptuno, the tourist bus stop in front of the Madrid Tourist Office) at least 15 minutes prior to your chosen departure time. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, and bringing along your hat, suncreen, water bottle and camera. Please note the tour is not fully wheelchair accessible. Service animals are permitted but pets are not permitted.
Coach transfers

Your tour includes all transfers on a specialty coach. Coaches have air conditioning, commentary from your live guide, and storage for buggies and wheelchairs. Coaches do not have toilets, luggage storage, opening windows or refreshments available to purchase. Please note that smoking, eating or drinking is not permitted on board the coach.
