    Big Bus Tours Muscat offers pre-recorded commentary in your choice of either English, Arabic, French, German, Italian & Spanish. The commentary is available through complimentary earphones that you will receive when you board the bus.

    City Tour (Red Loop): first bus departs Stop #1 - Mutruh Suq at 9:00am. A full circuit is approx. 1 hour, 45 minutes. Buses arrive every 30 minutes The last full-circuit tour departure from Stop #1 is at 5:00pm. Last bus at Stop #1 is at 6:45pm

    Please note: your ticket is valid for at least 24 hours, so if you start your tour at 2.00pm in the afternoon, you can use the tour until the same time the following day. If you plan to hop on and hop off the tour, please allow yourself extra time. Timings and bus frequency are subject to change, so for up-to-date information please check with Big Bus staff at any of point of sale, or contact us.

Tell me about the Big Bus Tour of Muscat

Big Bus Tours offers sightseeing tours of Muscat on open-top double-decker buses. You may board the bus at Mutrah Souk in order to view attractions and places of interest along the route. The tour also includes a free walking tour around the Old Quarter.

What can I see and visit?

Bus stops are conveniently located close to popular landmarks and attractions. Visit our Discover Muscat page to learn about what you can see and visit on our tour. You can hop on and off as many times as you wish and are of course welcome to stay on board for the entire route.

On which days does the tour operate?

Big Bus Tours Muscat operate every day of the year, even throughout the summer - all of our buses have custom-designed air-conditioning systems, and we also offer free chilled bottled water to keep you cool even in the heat of the midday sun.

Do I need to specify a date of travel?

All the tour tickets we sell on our website are open dated, meaning you can travel on any day within 6 months of purchase. If you purchase a ticket that offers validity for more than 1 day, you must travel on consecutive days.

Is there a discount available for groups?

What is the child ticketing policy?

A child ticket is available for children aged between 5 and 15 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged 4 years and under may travel free of charge. Strollers and pushchairs must be folded and stowed on the lower deck.

I have a few hours' stopover between my flights and would like to take a tour. Where is the nearest start point to the airport?

Hay As Saruf (Stop #3) is the nearest stop to Muscat International airport, roughly 22km away.

How will I know where to get off?

The pre-recorded commentary on the bus will announce each stop by number and location as the bus approaches. Please refer to our routes & maps information to plan which stops you would like to hop off at.

How do I redeem my ticket?

Show your printed ticket to a member of staff at one of our stops or aboard the bus. They'll issue you a receipt that you'll be able to use to hop on the bus throughout the validity of your ticket.

If you requested to have your tickets sent via SMS, remember that there is no need to print your tickets. Just bring your phone with you with the ticket page open to show it to one of our on street staff who will issue you your ticket.

Are the buses wheelchair accessible?
