About the SkyStar Observation Wheel

Standing 15 stories tall (150 feet), the state-of-the-art SkyStar Observation Wheel features 36 enclosed, well-ventilated gondolas. Each gondola accommodates up to 6 guests, and provides spectacular views of the city and bay. At nighttime, over a million LED lights illuminate SkyStar, making it a sparkling landmark on the waterfront.

The Experience

A full rotation on SkyStar takes 9–12 minutes. During this time, you'll enjoy spectacular views of the Bay, Alcatraz Island, the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, Coit Tower and the hills of San Francisco.

Location

After 3 years in Golden Gate Park's Music Concourse, SkyStar Wheel has moved to San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf waterfront, between Pier 39 and Boudin Bakery. The historic F-Line street car has a stop directly in front of SkyStar, and bike parking is available on site. Car parking is available in the adjacent parking lot at 2860 Taylor Street

Important Information

This is a general admission ticket for SkyStar Wheel. Before visiting SkyStar Wheel, please download your entry pass from bigbustours.com/manage-my-booking. If you do not download your entry pass, please redeem your booking confirmation with a Big Bus Tours staff member before your visit to SkyStar Wheel. You may then take your Big Bus voucher to the SkyStar ticket window for redemption. Gondolas are wheelchair accessible. Service animals are welcome on board. Children 2 and under ride free of charge. Strollers can be bought on board or left at the ticket booth. Food and drink is not permitted on board. SkyStar operates in rain and fog.
