More Questions & Answers

Do I need to choose a date for my tour?

Yes – when you book, you will need to select the date you’d like to hop on the bus. If you’re touring with us for more than one day, your ticket must be used across consecutive days, and the date you select at time of booking should be the first day of your tour. Some tours also require you to select a time of travel, to secure your seat. If your ticket has extra inclusions, you may also need to book dates and times for these inclusions after your purchase is complete via our Booking Portal. For more information, please see the instructions on your booking confirmation email.

Is the Discover Ticket valid for 1 day or 24 hours?

The Discover Ticket is valid for 24 hours. It entitles you to use all Big Bus services during operational hours, starting from the time you begin your tour until that same time the following day. So if you board the bus at 12pm for example, your ticket will be valid until 12pm the following day. The same applies to Essential and Explore Tickets, valid for 48 hours.

Are buses wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the lower decks of our buses are wheelchair accessible, with ramps enabling access to all vehicles within the Sydney fleet. The boarding areas in the proximity of our bus stops in Sydney are also wheelchair accessible. There is space for one wheelchair per bus. We regretfully advise that we cannot accommodate mobility scooters, and may not be able to accommodate larger wheelchairs, due to weight and stability restrictions. Please note that the total weight of the customer, their assistant and their mobility aid must be less than 300 kg (660 lb). This is to ensure the maximum weight capacity of our boarding ramps is not exceeded. The wheelchair also cannot exceed the width of the designated wheelchair seating area.

To avoid any disappointment on your day of travel, we would be happy to confirm in advance whether your wheelchair can be accommodated on board. Please send an email to [email protected], including an indication of the width and weight of your wheelchair.

Can I change the date (and time) of my bus tour?

Yes. If you have a ticket that's 'fully flexible' you can change the date (and time) of your bus tour booking without charge. To make the change, please contact us.

If you don't have a 'fully flexible' ticket, we can still change the date of your bus tour, but please be aware that charges may apply.
