Ghasts from the Past

The London Dungeon presents theatrical, immersive re-enactments of real events from London's gruesome past, with talented theatrical actors drawing you right into the history books. Can you foil Guy Fawkes' Gunpowder Plot, avoid the macabre instruments of the Plague Doctor, survive the Great Fire of London and escape from Jack the Ripper in the Whitechapel Labyrinth? Embark on a learning adventure that's hilarious fun and more than a bit scary.

Ride to Ruin

Calling all thrillseekers: The London Dungeon features two underground rides that will transport you back through the murky mists of time to a very different London. The Tyrant Boat Ride takes you down the River Thames to Traitors' Gate at The Tower of London. You've been dobbed in by Henry VIII's Black Jester, who insists you've conspired with Anne Boleyn. Meet the executioner or get wet - it's definitely one of those fates. After this, you can sample the life and death of an 18th-century criminal at Newgate Prison. The Drop Dead Drop Ride to Doom will show you just how long that hangman's noose really is.

Tavern of Terror

Wind up your experience at the Tavern, an authentically atmospheric East-End pub from 1896. Enjoy a bootleg beer, gin cocktail or traditional English lemonade as you soak up the rough atmosphere: hear local gossip about Jack the Ripper, watch shady wrong'uns tussle over cards, see the working girls bargain with scoundrels, and try to steer clear of the landlord and lady's argy-bargy.
