    The Red Tour runs approximately every 15-20 minutes and the Blue Tour runs every 20-30 minutes. Timings are subject to change, so please do check with a member of Big Bus staff or contact us if you are unsure of timings.

Tell me about the Big Bus tour of Vienna

Big Bus Tours offers sightseeing tours of Vienna on a double-decker bus. Commentary is provided in a choice of languages. You may hop on and off at any of our stops to visit attractions and places of interest.

What can I see and visit?

Bus stops are conveniently located, so you can hop-on and off the Vienna tour as you please. Each stop has been selected because it provides access to an attraction or place of interest. You can hop-on and off as many times as you wish, and are of course welcome to stay on board for the entire circuit. Please see our Tour Highlights to discover more.

On which days does the tour operate?

The Big Bus Tour runs every day of the year.

How long does the tour take?

A complete circuit of the Red Route takes approximately 1 hour, 40 minutes. A full circuit of the Blue Route takes approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes. Please allow for more time if you plan to hop on and off at any of our stops.

Do I need to specify a date of travel?

All the tour tickets we sell on our website are open-dated, meaning you can travel on any day within 6 months of purchase.

If you purchase a ticket that offers validity for more than 24 hours, you must travel on consecutive days.

If you purchase a Twin-City ticket for Vienna and Budapest, you can redeem your Budapest ticket on any day of your choice.

How do I redeem my ticket?

Show your printed ticket to a member of staff at one of our stops or aboard the bus. They'll issue you a receipt that you'll be able to use to hop on the bus throughout the validity of your ticket.

If you requested to have your tickets sent via SMS, remember that there is no need to print your tickets. Just bring your phone with you with the ticket page open to show it to one of our on street staff who will issue you your ticket.

Is there a discount available for groups?

Is it possible to hire one of the double-decker buses for a private event?

What time are the first and last buses?

Red Tour: The first bus departs at 9:30am and the last bus departs at 6:00pm from Stop #1: Opera.

Blue Tour: The first bus departs at 10:00am and the last bus departs at 5:00pm from Stop #1: Museums Hofburg.

What is the child policy?

A child ticket is available for children between the ages of 5 - 15. Children under 5 may travel free of charge. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Are the buses wheelchair accessible?

Yes, most of our buses are wheelchair accessible. Please contact us for further information.

Can I take my dog on the bus?

Dogs are only permitted if they are muzzled and leashed. Only one dog per bus is permitted. The dog must not exceed knee height.
