We don’t believe in skipping a meal, especially on holiday, but we do understand not everyone’s an early riser. Truth is, the best way to start off every day in Miami is with a hearty breakfast. Breaking bread with your friends or family before heading out for a jam-packed day exploring the state’s landmarks is sure to keep you in good spirits way into the afternoon.

Thankfully, for the days you just want to sleep in, we’ve shortlisted our favourite spots for the best brunch in Miami, all worth getting out of bed for…

WYNWOOD DINER

If you’re travelling to Wynwood for brunch, you’ll spot this colourful diner immediately. Whilst the artsy exterior looks like a toddler has been given free reign of decorating the walls, the interior gives way to plush leather booths and gloriously green hanging plants that add to the warm ambience guests keep returning for. Take advantage of the scorching Miami weather and sit in their garden for some early morning sun rays.

Serving breakfast all-day long there really is no curfew on when you can grab a bite to eat. When you do dine here we recommend the Baked Eggs with a side of bacon, or everyone’s favourite, Poached Eggs & Avocado on Toast. Try the pancakes or waffles covered in berries if you’re craving something sweet.

B BISTRO + BAKERY

Arguably the best place for brunch in Brickell, B Bistro pulls influences from around the world to create a delectable rotating menu. With a separate breakfast and brunch menu choosing a dish isn’t an easy task. We can’t get enough of the Truffle Bun; scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, truffle aioli, arugula and bacon jam sandwiched between two pieces of fluffy goodness. The chef also cooks up a mean Ranchero Scramble.

What’s more, pastries are freshly baked on site every single morning and are always the first things to sell out. We recommend snapping one or two up before you order anything else. If you’re in the mood for something unusual, order the Charcoal or Pink croissant. Once you’ve finished brunch, you’re in the perfect spot to explore Downtown Miami.

11th STREET DINER

Arguably the coolest place for brunch in South Beach, live out your American sitcom dreams at this retro-inspired diner housed in a railroad-style car. Serving tasty all-day breakfast dishes & American eats around the clock, this is the ideal place for someone who fancies breakfast for dinner or is looking to refuel after a night out at one of the nearby bars and clubs.

A sweet tooth should order from the ‘Griddle Me This’ section of the menu, whilst those hoping to fit in with the fitness buffs on South Beach should opt for an aptly named ‘Body Builder Special’ from the omelette section.

THE FRONT PORCH CAFE

Want to eat breakfast in Miami at the place voted ‘best place for brunch on the beach’? Of course you do. A stone’s throw away from the ocean’s waves, those looking to grab a quick bite before making a splash should head straight here.

Serving hungry customers for the last 28 years, this breakfast restaurant is a must for anyone visiting Miami. With all sorts of pancakes, eggs and French toast options on the menu, it’s obvious that Front Porch’s ethos is ‘breakfast truly is the most important meal of the day’. If you’re feeling particularly ravenous in the morning or simply want to try something you wouldn’t normally, order the FP Breakfast Pizza. Thank us later.

RACKET

Firm believers that brunch is best served at the weekend will love Rácket. From 1-5pm every Saturday and Sunday they serve an $18 bottomless rosé & mimosa breakfast, making this an instant favourite with anyone looking for a boozy brunch.

We’re certain you’ll enjoy every bite of the menu on offer. We recommend ordering their toasted panini filled with prosciutto, pesto, goat cheese, arugula and fig jam. You can also look forward to brunch staples like avocado toast and 2 eggs any style. Delicious food, not having to wake up early and an unlimited amount of alcohol…what more do you need to convince you to book a table now?
