    You can hop on the bus from any stop, but our main start points are:

    • Stanley Tour (Green Route): Stop #8 (Central Star Ferry Pier 7, Man Kwong Street, outside Central Ferry Pier 7 main entrance)
    • Kowloon Tour (Blue Route): Stop #15 (Tsim Sha Tsui K11 MUSEA, Donut Playhouse entrance on Salisbury Road, near Space Museum)
    • Night Tour: Stop #15 (Tsim Sha Tsui K11 MUSEA, Donut Playhouse entrance on Salisbury Road, near Space Museum)

    Please see below for details about the start times and bus frequency for each of our Hong Kong bus tour routes:

    • Hong Kong Island Tour (Red Route): The first Red Route bus departs Stop #1 (Central Star Ferry Pier 7) at 10:00am. Buses depart every 45 minutes until 5:00pm
    • Stanley Tour (Green Route): The first Green Route bus departs Stop #8 (Central Star Ferry Pier 7) at 10:30am. Buses depart every 60 minutes until 4:30pm
    • Kowloon Tour (Blue Route): The first Blue Route bus departs Stop #15 (Tsim Sha Tsui K11 MUSEA) at 10:00am. Buses depart every 60 minutes until 5:00pm
    • Night Tour: The Night Tour departs Stop #15 (Tsim Sha Tsui K11 MUSEA) at 7:00pm. There is only one Night Tour departure each evening.

    Please present your booking confirmation (printed or on your mobile device) to uniformed Big Bus Tours staff present at one of our stops, Information Centres, or on board the bus. They'll issue you a ticket receipt that you'll be able to use to hop on the bus throughout your ticket's validity period.

Do I need to choose a date for my tour?

Yes – when you book, you will need to select the date you’d like to hop on the bus. If you’re touring with us for more than one day, your ticket must be used across consecutive days, and the date you select at time of booking should be the first day of your tour. Some tours also require you to select a time of travel, to secure your seat. If your ticket has extra inclusions, you may also need to book dates and times for these inclusions after your purchase is complete via our Booking Portal. Big Bus Tours offers sightseeing tours of Hong Kong over three different sightseeing routes, taking you to Hong Kong’s main attractions, landmarks and places of interest. The tour provides a personal pre-recorded commentary in a choice of 9 languages. Convenient stops allow you to hop on, hop off and explore the city at your leisure. A Night Tour of Kowloon is also available, providing the opportunity to see this vibrant city at night.

On which days does the tour run?

Big Bus Tours Hong Kong operates every day of the year, weather and road conditions permitting. On rare occasions, our service may be suspended due to severe weather. Our uniformed staff will provide you with information should there be any change to advertised service. Alternatively, please visit our Service Information page for service status notices.

Is there a discount available for groups?

Yes, discounts are available for groups of 20 or more. To find out more, submit an enquiry using our group booking information page.

Is it possible to hire one of the open-top buses for a private event?

Yes, buses are available for private hires and charters. For more information please or to receive a quote, submit an enquiry using our private hires and charters page.

Are child tickets available?

Yes. Child tickets are available for guests between the ages of 3–11. Children aged 2 and under may travel free of charge. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Do I need to queue for the Peak Tram?

No. Simply redeem your peak tram ticket at the Big Bus Tours ticket counter, which allows you to take the fast-lane entry and skip the queue.

Do I have to use my Peak Tram ticket on the same day as my Big Bus Tour?

No. You do not have to use your Peak Tram on the same day as your Big Bus Tour. You should collect your return ticket for the Peak Tram from the Big Bus Tours ticketing counter at the Peak Tram Lower Terminus on the day you would like to take the Peak Tram, and use it within the stated expiry date.

How often does the Peak Tram depart?

The Peak tram departs approximately every 15 minutes. The journey up to Victoria Peak takes about 10 minutes.

Are the buses wheelchair accessible?

Yes, all of our buses are wheelchair accessible. Please contact us for further information.

Can I change the date (and time) of my bus tour?

Yes. If you have a ticket that's 'fully flexible' you can change the date (and time) of your bus tour booking without charge. To make the change, please contact us.

If you don't have a 'fully flexible' ticket, we can still change the date of your bus tour, but please be aware that charges may apply.
