Do I need to choose a date for my tour?

Yes – when you book, you will need to select the date you’d like to hop on the bus. If you’re touring with us for more than one day, your ticket must be used across consecutive days, and the date you select at time of booking should be the first day of your tour. Some tours also require you to select a time of travel, to secure your seat. If your ticket has extra inclusions, you may also need to book dates and times for these inclusions after your purchase is complete via our Booking Portal. Where does the tour end?

You can hop-on and off at any of our stops (unless it’s a panoramic ‘non-stop’ tour). Download the Big Bus Tours app to discover all of our routes, stops and nearby landmarks & attractions.

How do I know when the next bus is coming?

Download the Big Bus Tours app and you’ll be able find your nearest stop and better still, check to see if a bus is heading your way thanks to real-time bus tracking. Don’t forget you’ll need to enable location services and data on your mobile device (please speak with your mobile / cell provider regarding data roaming costs).

I am waiting at a stop and can’t see any buses, what do I do?

Hang in there! BIG cities like to throw all sorts of challenges at our drivers, who are doing their best to get to you as quickly (but safely) as possible. If you haven’t already, download the Big Bus Tours app to see if a bus is heading your way thanks to real-time bus tracking.

You can purchase tickets either on this website, from an on-street Big Bus Tours staff member, on the bus, from a trusted retailer such as your hotel concierge, or at one of our key sales points.

Hop aboard with Big Bus Tours Berlin to discover the City of Freedom from an open-top double-decker bus. During the tour, you'll hear entertaining facts and stories from our expert English-speaking guides. You're free to hop on and off at any stop to explore Berlin in more detail, re-joining the tour when you're ready. You can choose from a range of different tickets that offer 1-day or 2-day sightseeing, with some tickets offering a variety of free extras, including walking tours, river cruises and more.

What can I see and visit?

The Red Route showcases the highlights of Berlin, including the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, Checkpoint Charlie and so much more. The Blue Route takes you on a journey to old Berlin, including the monumental boulevard Karl-Marx Allee and the East Side Gallery. There are 20 stops where you can hop on and off your tour, as many times as you wish. Each stop has been selected because it provides convenient access to an attraction or place of interest. And of course you're welcome to stay on board for the entire tour loop and let us take you for a scenic spin. Which days does the tour operate on?

Big Bus Tours Berlin operates every day. On rare occasions, our service may be affected by events outside of our control. Please check our Service Information page for up-to-date service information.

How will I know where to get off?

The pre-recorded commentary on the bus will announce each stop by number and location as the bus approaches. Please refer to our routes & maps information to plan which stops you would like to hop off at.

How do I redeem my ticket?

Show your printed ticket to a member of staff at one of our stops or aboard the bus. They'll issue you a receipt that you'll be able to use to hop on the bus throughout the validity of your ticket.
If you requested to have your tickets sent via SMS, remember that there is no need to print your tickets. Just bring your phone with you with the ticket page open to show it to one of our on street staff who will issue you your ticket.

Is there a discount available for groups?

Yes, discounts are available for groups of 20 or more. To find out more, submit an enquiry using our group booking information page.

Is it possible to hire a bus for a private event?

Yes, buses are available for private hires and charters. For more information please or to receive a quote, submit an enquiry using our private hires and charters page.

Does my ticket include entrance to any attractions?

Unless specified in the ticket description, attractions are not included.

What is the child ticket policy?

Child tickets are available for passengers between the ages of 5–15. Children aged 5 and under may travel free of charge. All passengers under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that pushchairs must be folded and stowed on the lower deck of the bus.

Are the buses wheelchair accessible?

Yes, most of our buses are wheelchair accessible. Please contact us for further information.

Can I bring my pet?

Small animals must be carried in an enclosed basket, cage or pet carrier.

Can I change the date (and time) of my bus tour?

Yes. If you have a ticket that's 'fully flexible' you can change the date (and time) of your bus tour booking without charge. To make the change, please contact us.

If you don't have a 'fully flexible' ticket, we can still change the date of your bus tour, but please be aware that charges may apply.
