Low Emissions Cities| Big Bus Tours

As part of our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and supporting a more sustainable future, Big Bus Tours has an ongoing decarbonisation program that includes investments in electric vehicles (EVs), renewable fuel (HVO), and expanding renewable energy.

Our latest EV expansion in June 2024 was made up of 20 brand new Ankai electric buses being introduced to Paris and Vienna, and 20 retrofit electric buses in London, through the conversion of 20 of the existing fleet. These 100% electric vehicles brought the global total to 51 EVs - just over 10% of Big Bus Tours’ global fleet. We have also invested in electric All Purpose Transport Vehicles in Singapore.

In addition to expanding our electric bus fleet, we have transitioned to hydrotreated vegetable oil fuel (HVO) in London, Vienna, and San Francisco. HVO emits 90% less carbon than traditional diesel, making it a valuable transitionary tool for us on our decarbonisation journey.

We’re proud to say that due to these efforts the following Big Bus cities can be considered low emission, we can’t wait to add to this list in the years to come:

• Big Bus London
• Big Bus Vienna
• Big Bus Paris
• Big Bus San Francisco
