Full Day Wine & Woods Tour

Escape the city on our full-day Woods & Wine Country Tour to discover some of California's most beautiful destinations. Depart from Fisherman’s Wharf and head over the Golden Gate Bridge to the Russian River region for our Woods and Wine Tour! You will first visit Korbel Winery for a full tasting of California Champagne and views of their historic landscape and buildings. You can also visit their on-site deli and pick up lunch or snacks, and you can order ahead if you choose to! After that tasting, we will travel to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve. Here you can see the Colonel Armstrong Redwoods Tree that is over 1,000 years old! You can stay for 45 minutes to an hour and half, if you choose. If you decide to visit the shorter, we will then take you to downtown Guerneville to wander among this quaint American town. This is another opportunity to grab a bite to eat as well or window shop! Lastly, we will take you to Russian River Vineyards, where you will drink overlooking the vines. Here they produce award-winning wines, but are farmers first and keep a strong connection to their products. They have a restaurant here, as well, where you can order delicious sandwiches and salads, or even small bites while you experience your tasting. After this, we take you back to San Francisco through Sebastopol, where you will see a different view of the California countryside.
What’s Included: Visit to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, all wine tasting fees and entry, a live tour guide narration and local taxes.
Additional Information: Guests must be 21+ to participate in Wine Tastings. Please bring a government-issued Photo ID.

Do I need to choose a date for my tour?

Yes – when you book, you will need to select the date you’d like to hop on the bus. If you’re touring with us for more than one day, your ticket must be used across consecutive days, and the date you select at time of booking should be the first day of your tour. Some tours also require you to select a time of travel, to secure your seat. If your ticket has extra inclusions, you may also need to book dates and times for these inclusions after your purchase is complete via our Booking Portal. For more information, please see the instructions on your booking confirmation email.

Where can I buy a ticket for the tour?

You can purchase tickets either on this website, on the bus, from a member of Big Bus staff, or at most hotels. Please note that for hygiene reasons we encourage you to pay with card when possible so that all parties can avoid the handling of cash.

How long does the tour take?

Day Tour (Red Route): a full circuit takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes if you don't hop off the bus.
Sunset Tour (Blue Route): a full circuit takes 1 hour and 15 minutes. Please note that the Night Tour isn't a hop-on, hop-off tour.
