Half-Day Wine Country Tour

Half-Day Wine Country Tours depart Stop #1 at 12:30pm

The Half-Day Wine Tour (duration 6 hours) begins just after midday. After journeying north across the Golden Gate Bridge and through Sausalito, you'll reach wine country, where you'll visit two different wineries. At each, you'll enjoy 3-5 tastings of their signature blends. All wine tasting fees are included in the tour price. This tour also includes an exclusive estate tour - you'll discover the inner workings of the wineries and their family history in Napa & Sonoma Valley, as an expert wine host walks you through the fermentation process, barrel aging, bottling, and of course tastings of some award-winning varietals! The day concludes with a scenic drive back over the Golden Gate Bridge and back to Stop #1 in San Francisco as the sun slowly starts to set into the Pacific Ocean.

Full-Day Wine Country Tour

Full-Day Wine Country Tours depart Stop #1 at 8:30am

On the Full-Day Wine Tour (duration 9 hours) you'll visit 3 of our winery partners (Madonna Estates, Muscardini Cellars, Sutter Home, and Ru Vango Winery) with about an hour at each winery for exclusive wine tastings (3-5 per winery), estate tours and insights into grape growing, natural farming and wine-making techniques. All tasting fees are included in the tour price. At lunch, you'll stop at historic downtown Sonoma Square where you'll have free time to explore or enjoy some lunch. There are lots of wonderful dining options, one-of-a-kind boutique shops, and local art galleries. The day concludes with a scenic drive back over the Golden Gate Bridge and back to Stop #1 in San Francisco as the sun slowly starts to set into the Pacific Ocean.

Wine Country Return Coach Journeys

Both full-day and half-day Wine Country tours include return coach journeys between San Francisco and Wine Country. Wine Country tours start and end at Big Bus Tours Stop #1 (99 Jefferson Street, San Francisco, CA 94133). Please arrive 30 minutes in advance of your Wine Country tour departure time. During the journey, your tour guide will provide live narration about the spectacular sights of the bay area, including the Golden Gate Bridge and Sausalito. You'll also learn more about the history of winemaking in the rolling hillsides of Napa and Sonoma.
