Welcome to Rome is an immersive, walk-through 60-minute theatre experience. On your visit, you'll pass through a series of rooms featuring digital projections, animated models and 3D effects, each dedicated to showing you different parts of Rome's history and architecture. The last room features a 20-minute film, projected on to the walls, ceiling and floor. This innovative technology creates an immersive experience, and along the way you'll enjoy commentary from your audioguide, available in 8 languages.
Using innovative new technology, Welcome to Rome shows you how the city's famous landmarks used to look, with plastic models and floor-to-ceiling cinematic projections animating Rome's architectural history.
Welcome to Rome illustrates the history of landmarks like the Fori Imperiali, the Forum of Augustus, the Mausoleum of Hadrian and the Basilica of San Pietro. In addition, you'll gain insight into Rome's early settlements and growth, the founding of the Roman empire and its decline, and the Renaissance period.
