Accessing your ticket: Once you've purchased your ticket, open the Big Bus Tours app, tap 'Add Booking' and enter your booking reference. On the day, open your bus ticket and press 'Activate'. Your ticket countdown starts – just show your activated ticket to the driver to board.

2026 marks 100 years of Route 66, one of America’s original highways. Known as the “Mother Road,” it originally connected Chicago to Los Angeles across eight states. This special anniversary ticket celebrates the milestone by connecting you with both ends of the route, giving you the freedom to explore Chicago and Los Angeles with one single ticket.

Do I need to choose a date for my tour?

Yes – when you book, you will need to select the date you’d like to hop on the bus. If you’re touring with us for more than one day, your ticket must be used across consecutive days, and the date you select at the time of booking should be the first day of your tour. Some tours also require you to select a time of travel to secure your seat. If your ticket has extra inclusions, you may also need to book dates and times for these inclusions after your purchase is complete via our Booking Portal.
