Las Vegas in the place to party. The 24/7 city lines up clubs, casinos, shows, rides – it’s almost impossible to not be entertained. When it comes to bars, you can take your pick from sophisticated sky-high venues, glitzy lounges, and themed establishments.

Here’s out pick of the best bars on the Las Vegas’ strip…

THE CHANDELIER

Fan of a bit of glitz and glam? You’ll love the decadent setting of The Chandelier bar with its hanging beaded curtains of light. You’ll literally feel like you’re stepping into a giant chandelier. It’s spread across three floors, with each one offering a different vibe, including a live music room, a private cocktail bar and a sophisticated lounge. And, the unique cocktail menu includes colour-changing concoctions, pop-culture themed drinks and twists on old favourites.

MINUS5 ICE BAR

Vegas gets seriously hot during the summer months, with the mercury regularly hitting highs of 40 degrees. If the pool parties just aren’t keeping you cool, head to Minus5 Ice Bar where, just like the name suggests, the temperatures are extremely cold. Chill out with an ice-cold vodka cocktail and enjoy the ice-sculpted setting which includes chairs, tables and decorations. You’ll be given a cute parka, gloves and a hat to keep you warm, and you can even upgrade to a faux fur coat if you fancy more of a stylish look.

THE UNDERGROUND AT THE MOB MUSEUM

This secret speakeasy in the basement of Vegas’ Mob Museum will transport you to the Prohibition era. It’s an exhibition and bar in one where you can learn all about the roaring twenties and then taste some unique themed cocktails like Underground Old Fashioned, Moonshine Mayhem and Rattlesnake (made with egg white and absinthe). The intimate setting only seats 95, so you’ll get the true-to-life speakeasy experience here.

MANDARIN BAR

This sophisticated bar is located on the 23rd floor of the Mandarin Oriental hotel, and offers spectacular views over the strip through its floor-to-ceiling windows. Head up for sunset to see the color-filled sky and lights slowly permeating the city. The local and Asian-inspired cocktail menu includes unique pairings of high-end spirits with fresh fruit and herbs. And, the mixologist barmen will be happy to whip up a cocktail according to your tastes.

PEPPERMILL FIRESIDE LOUNGE

Visit this 24-hour bar at any time of day or night, or spend your whole evening here. The vibe is distinctly ‘old Vegas’ with its bright purple colours and 70s décor. Plus, there’s a huge fire pit in the middle of the lounge area. When it comes to drinks, the Scorpion is a must-try. The humungous 64oz cocktail arrives in the biggest glass you’ve ever seen and combines vanilla ice cream, orange juice, brandy, rum and vodka.

And our favourite off-strip drinking hole…

HOFBRAUHAUS

Las Vegas is famous for its replicas of must-visit landmarks from other countries. You can see the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramids of Luxor and the canals of Venice all in one day. After all that sightseeing, head to Vegas’ very own version of the Hofbräuhaus in Munich. This place celebrates Oktoberfest every day, so brush off your lederhosen and join in the stein drinking and table dancing.
