Right in the heart of Dublin’s historic Liberties district, Teeling Whiskey Distillery offers a fully immersive experience for whiskey lovers and curious travellers alike. Opened by brothers Jack and Stephen Teeling in 2015, it’s the first new distillery to open in Dublin in over 125 years - and it’s just across the road from the site where their ancestor, Walter Teeling, was distilling back in 1782.
Today, Teeling is where tradition meets innovation. You’ll find a working distillery with three copper pot stills, a stylish Bang Bang Bar, a rooftop terrace, an artisan café, a boutique shop, and an events loft - all packed into one unique space.
A Glimpse of the Past
The Teeling name has deep Dublin roots. In the 18th century, Walter Teeling was part of the city’s once-thriving “Golden Triangle” of whiskey distilleries. Over time, most closed their doors - but in 2015, the Teeling brothers brought the spirit of Dublin distilling roaring back to life.

Their expert mixologists work with fresh, local ingredients to create drinks that perfectly complement the whiskey. Stop by for a coffee from local roasters Cloud Picker, a light bite made with Irish-sourced produce, or a jar of honey from Teeling’s rooftop garden. Then browse the boutique store for souvenirs or pick up a bottle of your favourite drink to take home.
