Entry to the Acropolis

This ticket includes entry to the Acropolis, the most important archaeological site in the world. Located on a hill in the centre of Athens, the Acropolis showcases some of the city's prominent monuments, including the famous Parthenon, a temple dedicated to Athena, the goddess of wisdom and warfare. Other important structures on the Acropolis include the Erechtheion, known for its Caryatids (female statues that serve as columns), the Propylaea, the monumental gateway to the Acropolis, and the Temple of Athena Nike, a smaller temple dedicated to the goddess of victory.

Ticket redemption: Visit Manage my Booking, and then download your official Acropolis Ticket. Entry can only be granted with this downloadable official ticket - not with your booking confirmation or Big Bus Tour Voucher. Once you have your ticket, head straight to the attraction at your booked entry time and go to the South Entrance of the Acropolis: Dionysiou Areopagitou 10458. Once you have entered the Acropolis, you can stay as long as you want within the opening hours of 8:00am - 6:00pm.

Do I need to choose a date for my tour?

Yes – when you book, you will need to select the date you’d like to hop on the bus. If you’re touring with us for more than one day, your ticket must be used across consecutive days, and the date you select at the time of booking should be the first day of your tour. Some tours also require you to select a time of travel to secure your seat. If your ticket has extra inclusions, you may also need to book dates and times for these inclusions after your purchase is complete via our Booking Portal. For more information, please see the instructions in your booking confirmation email.

Where can I buy tickets for the tour?

You can purchase tickets on this website and from the on-street sales teams located at various stops across our routes including Stop #4 (Acropolis).
