  Big Bus Tours is pleased to announce the acquisition of Double Decker Tours in Washington, D.C. Double Decker Tours has provided an alternative service in Washington since 2003, with similar routes and stops. Consolidating the two businesses will deliver the best of both tours and a more frequent service, and will enable Open Top Sightseeing to make significant improvements to customer experience.

  October 2011 Las Vegas Tour re-launch

  
  

  Open Top Sightseeing is pleased to announce the re-launch of its Las Vegas Tour. The new tour features two routes: the Down Town Route and the Strip Route. The Tour now takes in Fremont Street and offers the option of live commentary from entertaining local guides. There is also a newly devised night tour, showcasing the best of the Strip's neon light displays.

  July 2011 San Francisco Tour Enhancements

  
  

  The Open Top Sightseeing tour of San Francisco has been redeveloped. The new tour includes an extended route taking in the Golden Gate Bridge and Vista Point. The Tour now includes a personal recorded commentary in a choice of languages, or a live commentary provided by enthusiastic local guides. The tour also includes a guided walk. A 1 hour cycle hire is another bonus, free with a 48 hour ticket.

  Open Top Sightseeing and its parent company Les Cars Rouges (Paris) have merged with The Big Bus Company (London) to create one of the largest sightseeing tour providers in the world. The new organisation is called Big Bus Tours and has a presence in 11 cities around the globe. The merger will enable the various city tours within the business to share best practice, technologies and knowledge in order to develop the best possible sightseeing experience in each destination.
