1. What is Open Top Sightseeing?


Open Top Sightseeing provides sightseeing tours of Las Vegas, San Francisco, Washington DC, Philadelphia and Miami by open-top double decker bus. Discover the city's history by listening to the entertaining commentary and explore the city by using the hop-on and hop-off facility.


2. What will I gain from the Tour?


The tour will allow you see the whole city conveniently and in a relatively short space of time. If you wish to, you can get off the bus and visit the places that interest you. Our tour routes are carefully designed to show you the key landmarks and attractions in each city and your entertaining commentary will explain the city's history, geography and culture. You'll also have some great photo opportunities, enabling you to take home an understanding and great memories of the city.


3. What does the tour include?


Your ticket gives you 24hr or 48 hr access to all the services we operate in the city of your choice. Each tour is tailored to its location city. For example, some tours include a river boat trip or walking tours. Please select a city for more details.


4. How long does the tour last?


This is very much up to you. A single city circuit may take 2-3 hours, but you can hop on and hop off at any of the stops that interest you. Your ticket is valid for 24 or 48 hours from the time you start your tour.


5. Do I have to book in advance?


No, you are welcome to buy tickets on the day, although buying in advance may enable you to benefit from an online discount.


6. Where can I buy a ticket?


On this website (where you may receive a discount), on any of our buses, from any of our sales staff or at most hotels in the cities we operate.


7. How should I pay for my ticket?


If you purchase your ticket online, you will need to use a credit or debit card. If you purchase your ticket on the day at one of our locations, you may pay by cash or credit card.


8. Do I have to specify a date for joining the tour?


If booking online, you have the option of a "fixed date" or "open date" tickets. If you purchase a "fixed date" ticket, you must start your tour on that specific day. If you have selected to book an "open day" ticket you can begin your tour on any day. NB: Your ticket is valid for 24 or 48hrs from the time that it is issued.


9. Where can I join the tour?


You may start the tour at any of the bus stops on our routes. Please see the maps page for more information.


10. What time are your first and last buses?


Generally, our first buses depart between 09.00 and 10.00hrs in the morning. Last bus times vary depending on the time of year. Please select a city for more details


11. What is the frequency of your tours?


Our tours have regular departures throughout the day, so you'll never be kept waiting too long at any stop. Depending on the time of year and location, buses run every 20 to 30 minutes.


12. Can I hop on and off between Live and Language Tours?


Yes, in the cities where both are provided, live guided and language tours are interchangeable – your ticket gives you access to all of our buses in the city of your choice.


13. How will I know where to get off?


On the Live Commentary tours our guides will inform you about the stops. On the Language Tour the recorded commentary will include advice on all of our stops.


14. Do you operate every day?


Yes, we do.


15. How do I get a brochure?


We can send you a brochure by mail, but you can also retrieve most of the information online. If you would like a brochure to be sent to you, please contact us to make a request.


16. Can children travel on their own?


No, children must be accompanied by at least one paying adult.


17. What is the child policy?


Children aged 0-3 years may travel free of charge. To qualify for child ticket, children must be aged between 4 and 12 years inclusive.


18. Is it possible to hire the bus for a private event?


Yes, buses are available for Corporate Charter and Private Hires. Please contact us to find out more.


19. Are buses accessible for wheelchairs?


Many of our buses have ramps and equipment for wheelchairs, but some of our vehicles are not able to cater for wheelchair users. Please contact the relevant city for more information.


20. Do you offer senior of student discounts?


No. We aim to offer each and everyone a fair low price. Book online, though, and you could save money.
