Sales & Promotion staff
How would
you like to work outside at magnificent landmarks such as The White House, The
Lincoln Memorial, The Washington Monument or Union Station, meeting people from
all over the world? And would you like to sell the Nation’s Capitol - the best
and easiest product there is to sell? You would? Then read on...
In this
unique and varied role, you would be primarily responsible for selling our
open-top double decker bus sightseeing tours, as well as promoting out of town
coach tours and fast entry tickets to the city’s top attractions. Customer
services are paramount to us so a large part of your day is spent helping
thousands of our guests to get the most out of their stay by offering advice,
information, and keeping them entertained as they hop on and off our open-top
buses.
Successful
applicants will be both natural salespeople and professional in their approach
to customer care. You will need to be highly articulate, confident and have an
excellent sense of humor. If you have these attributes then previous experience
isn't essential as you will benefit from our in-house training which will be
given to ensure your full potential is reached.
As well as a
good hourly rate of pay, there are other performance bonuses for hard workers.
Weekend working is essential. This can be an excellent seasonal position or a
chance to forge a strong career in Sales, Customer Services, Tourism, Leisure
and Hospitality.

Tour Guides
You would be
guiding on one of our open-top buses giving our customers an entertaining and
informative commentary the whole way round the tour. It is hard work but also
so much fun; sharing your passion of Washington DC with our thousands of
customers can be so rewarding.
Successful applicants will need to be highly articulate, possess character and
an excellent sense of humor. If you have these attributes then previous
experience isn't essential as full training will be given. We require
both full time and part time tour guides, so even if you are not available for
full time work, we may still have a place for you on the top of one of our
double decker buses.

Double Decker Bus Drivers
We are now
recruiting for our 2013 summer season.
Driving a
double decker tour bus around the spectacular city of Washington DC is unlike
any other driving job you may have had. Quite often the driver is the
first point of contact that many of our customers have with our company and it
is the bus driver that has the opportunity to create that first impression with
the passengers who are here to explore the Nation’s Capitol.
Our bus
drivers are much more than just drivers. You will spend your days
entertaining, dealing with questions and queries, giving directions,
interacting with people from all over the world, and at the same time you will
be expected to maintain the highest standards of safety and professionalism as
a commercial driver. As a driver you may be teamed up with a tour guide
who is your partner for the day, or you may be tasked with operating one of our
state of the art multi-lingual commentary buses, either way, no two days are
the same when you become a Big Bus Tours sightseeing driver.
You must have / be:
Held a CDL License with passenger and air brake endorsement for at least two
years
Smart appearance
Enthusiastic
Confident with passenger interaction
Flexible approach to work
Reliable and committed
