Burj Khalifa & Big Bus Sightseeing Tour of DubaiOn January 4th, 2010 the tallest building in the world opened to the public in the heart of Dubai.

Burj Khalifa, or The Khalifa Tower, opened to a spectacular show of fireworks and lasers with crowds gathered from all over the world to witness this incredible occasion.  Reaching 828m high, the Burj Khalifa has achieved several entries in the record books including – highest free standing structure, highest occupied floor, highest open air observation deck, and the fastest elevators in the world, some of which head straight to the observation deck on the 124th floor.

The observation deck provides magnificent views across the whole of Dubai, you can quite literally see for miles and miles and miles, from the neighbouring Emirate of Sharjah to the north, almost to the giant port of Jebel Ali in the south.

Tickets for the observation floor are now on sale to the public and there is no better way to get to the Burj Khalifa than taking the Big Bus Tour of Dubai – the only access to this floor is through the incredible Dubai Mall and the Big Bus stops right outside the main entrance to the mall, stop number 20 on the blue route beach tour.

The Big Bus Tour takes customers on a spectacular tour of the entire island of Abu Dhabi. Starting from Marina Mall on the Corniche break-water, the tour passes one of the world’s finest hotels, the opulent Emirates Palace, before travelling along the western side of the island to the magnificent Sheik Zayed Mosque; an architectural marvel with stunning décor that offers fantastic views over the Abu Dhabi landscape.

Big Bus adds 10 brand new buses to its London fleet                          September 2008

 

3 Buses at the Tower of LondonThese 10 new buses will enable Big Bus to operate a more frequent service. The buses have been custom-built to Big Bus specifications and include the latest in modern technology. They are equipped with both PA system for live guided tours and an audio digital language system to provide quality tour commentary in eight different languages.

The new vehicles have larger windows, affording better views of London's landmarks and are wheelchair accessible. A further 10 new buses are due to join the London fleet early in 2009, marking the company’s investment in the future and it’d commitment to enhancing the London tourism experience.

In September 2008, the Atlantis Hotel on the Palm Jumeirah will open to the public, and the Big Bus will be there ready to take you to the doorsteps of one of the world's most famous hotels.

Built entirely on man made islands, the Palm Jumeirah is astounding on its own. However, with the opening of one of the largest water parks in the region, the Atlantis is sure to amaze and thrill everyone who visits.

The Big Bus Company will drop you off at the entrance to water park where you can swim with the dolphins, scream as you plummet down a 27.5 metre, near-vertical drop propelling you through a submerged tunnel into a shark-filled lagoon, and learn about the marine world in the Lost Chambers which holds more than 65,000 fish, sharks and manta rays.

The coveted location is a popular starting point for sightseeing tours.

Receiving the contract has enabled The Big Bus Company to extend their live guided route and provide a more frequent service for customers wishing to visit Madame Tussauds and nearby attractions. 

From January 7th both of Big Bus’ award winning live guided and multilingual routes will be picking up and dropping off at Baker Street Station, giving customers a choice of tour options at this visitor hotspot.
