The Big Bus sightseeing tour of Abu Dhabi includes an informative commentary that guides you through the city.
The commentary explains the history of Abu Dhabi and points out the buildings and landmarks of significance. The commentary will also give an insight into Emirati culture and tradition.
The personal recorded commentary is available in your choice of 8 languages: Arabic, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Mandarin. Complimentary ear phones are provided.
Hop-on, Hop-off
On the Big Bus Tour there are 11 locations where you can get off the bus to visit attractions or explore places of interest.
The hop-on, hop-off facility gives you the freedom to plan your day to suit you. Visit the places that fascinate you and explore them for as little or as long as you like. You leave the open-top buses as many times as you want within the validity of your 24 hour ticket.
Air-conditioned Vehicles
An ‘air-conditioned open-top’ bus sounds like a contradiction in terms. However, Big Bus Tours acknowledges that Abu Dhabi’s warm climate would make some visitors reticent about spending a day on an open-top vehicle.
The Big Bus fleet has therefore been designed to provide an air conditioned cabin on the front section of the upper deck, with large windows for uninterrupted views. The middle section is open air with a sun canopy, while the rear 3rd is open to the sun for those wishing to enjoy the weather and a traditional open-top experience.
Buses also have a fridge onboard and complimentary chilled, bottled water is provided for all customers.
Sky Tower
As a Big Bus Tour customer, you will also enjoy free entry to the Marina Mall Sky Tower. This glass viewing platform high above the mall provides fantastic views over Abu Dhabi, the Corniche, the Emirates Palace Hotel and the Arabian Gulf.
There is a coffee shop at the top where you can sit, relax and enjoy the spectacular views over Abu Dhabi. Big Bus customers will also receive 20% off a coffee.
Be Entertained at Yas Island
The Big Bus Tour shuttle gives you the opportunity to visit Abu Dhabi’s main entertainment centre - Yas Island, located 30km from the centre of Abu Dhabi, home to the Cities Grand Prix.
See the views of the race tracks and drag circuit from the top open-deck. The shuttle stops at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi - the world’s first Ferrari themed amusement park, which is also the largest indoor park with over 20 attractions, including the world's fastest roller coaster.
The shuttle tour to Yas Island departs from stop 2: Manarat Al Saadiyat (10:20, 13:20 & 16:20) and stop 3: Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (11:35, 14:35 & 17:35). The return journey is at the same points of departure.
